Dear union reps and healthcare professionals!
Clearly, there are still many challenges ahead of us in the network and, unfortunately, the working conditions of our members are still very difficult: whether it’s the workload, which is constantly increasing, or the lack of replacement, which is still too prevalent. No wonder our members and patients are suffering.
Faced with these issues, I’m even more convinced of the merits of a strong FIQ, in the image of the healthcare professionals who are making their voices heard loud and clear. To this end, we need to maintain and create more opportunities for discussion and consultation between the Federation and you. Together, we can find solutions to the network’s problems and collectively give ourselves the means to provide good care.
I am convinced that I still have so much to accomplish with you. I’m still as passionate about organization of work and professional practice issues as I was during my first term. I respect and passionately defend all nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists who deserve more from management.
Over the last few years, artificial intelligence has crept insidiously into our professions and deserves our full attention. We are already hard at work expanding our knowledge of this phenomenon. Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing tools with you to guard against the pitfalls of AI.
My last two terms have given me the opportunity to demonstrate my versatility within the various mandates carried out by the Executive Committee. I know and prepare my files so that I am always in a position to represent you well, whatever the situation. My political experience, the different files I have handled and my media interventions make me a qualified and experienced candidate who the next Executive Committee and you can count on.
It is by working as a team and in a unified way that the FIQ will be stronger in the political arena.
Thank you for your trust!
