I am running for the Union Defence Fund Committee because I want to contribute to fair, supportive management that is in line with the deep-rooted values of the union movement. A union rep for more than ten years, I have been the secretary-treasurer of the SIIQ and today I am the grievance agent. My career has enabled me to provide concrete support to members and teams in times of mobilization, conflict or fighting for their rights.

The FDS, is what enables us to do more than talk: it’s what gives us the means to act when members need it most. This fund supports the action of a strike, lock-out or when a union representative fights for her rights. I want to put my analytical skills to good use, but above all I want to make sure that every decision I take is fair, humane and in the best interests of our members. Solidarity isn’t just a nice-to-have value, it has to be demonstrated in action.

I undertake to assess each request with humanity, fairness and transparency, in compliance with the regulations and, above all, in the interests of our members.
